Role of an ISO 9001 audit checklist
The main responsibility of the audit checklist for any company to have is to keep a list of all the procedures followed by them. These are the process in which a company offers a product or the service and the methods that work behind it. This is a crucial part of the checklist as the consumers will know that the products are being manufactures as per the ISO manual specifications. Any kind of digression from the specifications will demonstrate that the products are not up to the standards.

Establishing scope for improvement
It is vital to keep the auditors aware of the methods a company uses to compute, manage and execute the process within a system. ISO 9001 audit checklist will give the auditors a direction that the quality management is working in alignment to the prescribed methods. Hence the working of the whole organisation becomes transparent to the internal as well as the outside auditing team. The quality team must work according to the statistical expectations of the enterprise and thus the company can register growth. However if the QMS is non-compliant to any of the procedure then the scope for improvement can be suggested by the auditing team.

 Important points of the checklist
The auditors can follow the following points of the checklist
·         The ISO 9001 audit checklist keeps track of all the standards that are to be followed by each department of the company. There is no need to violate the standardised requirements in order to optimise the standards.
·         After the standards are met by the management system then the auditors can move on to SOP
·         It is advised to always put open ended questions to the QMS team for a smooth auditing process.
·         The SOP must be in a hard copy form so that it can be stamped as the guarded document. The input and the outcome of the SOP must be always mentioned clearly in the audit.
·         Check the reference documents and other non specified documents that are not a part of the standard optimisation process.
·         Finally draw a list of objectives for the quality management system to improve the environment of the business.
